George John Pinwell (1842-1875) was a watercolour painter and illustrator. This portrait was bought by the National Portrait Gallery in 1966 (NPG 4496). An image is available on the gallery’s website (search for ‘Eyre Crowe’).

Eyre Crowe was a Victorian painter of historical and genre works of art, who exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1846 to 1908.
