This copy portrait, presumably made by Crowe from an original hanging in a gallery, was given by Michael C. Jaye to the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge in 2004 (PD.20-2004). It is signed and dated, and inscribed, ‘Jany.. 9th 1846. – / LUDOVICUS XII.’ [sic]
